"He said to them, in reply, "Give them

Often Catholics say that they are not worthy to distribute the
Eucharist in the body and blood of Christ, which is true. None
of us is truly worthy, priest, deacon, or lay person, but we are
still called to serve God and the Body of Christ in humility. It
is God who calls us to serve one another even in our
unworthiness. If we are living a Christian lifestyle and not in
mortal sin, we may answer the call to be Eucharistic Ministers. |

Eucharistic Ministers - More properly, extraordinary
ministers of Holy Communion - assist the ordinary ministers
of communion, priests and deacons, in the distribution of the
Eucharist during Mass. They also take communion to the homebound
and to the sick (see Communion Ministry, below). Eucharistic
Ministers are active, adult Catholics who wish to serve their
fellow parishioners and have a love of the Eucharist.
Eucharistic Ministers are ordinary Christians who model
Christian living in faith and conduct in their ministry and in
their daily lives. Eucharistic ministers are needed at all of
the weekend masses. |

Youth Ministry is the church's mission of reaching into the
daily lives of modern young people and showing them the presence
of God. Youth Ministry is TO, WITH, BY, and FOR youth. They
respond to the needs of young people and share the unique gifts
of youth with the larger community. The goals of youth ministry
are to work to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of
each young person and to draw young people to responsible
participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith
community. |
