"Proclaim the good news" |
The call to proclaim the Word of God is a beautiful way to share the scriptures. Proclaiming the scriptures carefully and prayerfully helps those celebrating the Eucharist recognize that God has been with us from the beginning, is with us now, and will be with us for all time. |

Lectors - Also known as Readers - proclaim the word of God at mass. Readers proclaim the first and second readings and also the prayers of the faithful. They also lead the recitation of the psalm of the day if it is not sung. Readers are active, adult Catholics who are at home in the sacred stories they proclaim from Sunday to Sunday: With deep faith and confident voice they announce the good news of salvation to their sisters and brothers in the parish. |
